Welcome to your playground. Explore a yummy variety of topics with your fellow women for the first half of each session. Topics will be facilitated by different professionals each week. We’ll spend the second half playing with sensual movement to embody what we’ve learned. It is time to give yourself permission to play!

Details:

Week 1- The Unraveling with Cynthia Shockley: Meet your fellow seekers. Release judgment and shame and set your intentions. Learn the basic dance movements that will be incorporated each week of the series.

Week 2- Breaking the Gender Divide with Jamie Hazelton: Engage in a deep dive into the complexities of the feminine and masculine energies and discover how each serves you.

Week 3- All Bodies Are Good Bodies with Julie Wilde: Break free from the nonsense of diet culture and societal norms to embrace our bodies as perfect, wise and beautiful.

Week 4- Evolution of the Mother’s Body with Lyndsey Reece: Take a deep dive into each change of a mother’s body with wonder and gratitude.

Week 5- The Play You Require & Desire with Domiana Ndour: If you’re guilty of being the angry mom, yelling way more than you’d like to admit or drained, you’re probably missing play, pleasure and/or creativity. Learn to reconnect with play, pleasure, and creativity that you require and desire.

Week 6- Meet Your Inner Child: Reclaiming Her Story with Barbara Powell: Meet your inner child, take her by the hand, and retell her story in a new and empowering way.

Week 7- Surrendering to the Senses with Annette Largo: Breathe, touch, listen, and play. These elements will become a roadmap to exploring spaces and places within our bodies to facilitate a quiet confidence in the body and its ability to support you, creating a playground of pleasure

Week 8- Awakening Soulful Intimacy and Eroticism with Dr. Rachel Allyn: Learn how to get out of your head and unabashedly into your body, your desires, and your raw energy to experience a unique energetic exchange with others.

Pleasure as a Path to Resilience with Dr. Rachel Allyn

Many people think that moments of fun, joy, and pleasure are indulgent, but they’re actually crucial to your longevity, balance, compassion for others, and ability to stay sane in this wacky world. Moments of pleasure begin in our body and fuel the sweetness that leads to longer lasting states of joy and happiness. But if we aren’t connected to the pleasure portal in our body we seek it from things outside of us. Beyond our own juiciness, embodied pleasure practices boost our sense of belonging to others by enhancing feelings of altruism and compassion as well as sensual and erotic connections. Like anything nuanced and powerful, we need to find balance in our relationship with pleasure to be fully awake and human.

Dr. Rachel Allyn is a holistic psychologist, writer, yoga retreat leader and pleasure expert, working as a freedom fighter to help her clients subvert anything that keeps their mind, body, and spirit from shining bright. She received her PhD in clinical psychology and has worked in private practice for 15 years, focusing on adults dealing with relationships and sexual health, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. She blends the mind and the body with her method of bodyfulness and integrates Eastern practices such as buddhist psychology and yoga therapy with Western medicine including neuroscience and somatic therapy. This is your permission to play.

Enjoy a luxurious sensual warmup with your fellow women then dive into learning a little routine you can lose yourself in. The goal is not to perform (of course, you can show and tell as you please!) but to BE. To feel utterly alive in your body. To love yourself and appreciate yourself anew through sensual movement.

We'll do the routine again and again to different music, different paces, to feel comfortable in the movements. Time for dialogue and questions will be available throughout the workshop. Feel free to bring your own music to dance to for your final dance at the end!
